Setting of GPRS and MMS XL on Sony Ericcsson Seri W & M

General Parameter

• Data Bearer : GPRS

• Access Point Name : www.xlgprs.net

• Username : xlgprs

• Prompt Password : No

• Password : proxl

• Authentication : Normal

• Gateway IP address : 202.152.240.050

• Homepage : http://wap.lifeinhand.com

• Connection Security : Off

• Session Mode : Permanent



GPRS Setting

1. To main menu, to Settings

2. Scroll left and to Connectivity select Internet Settings

3. to Internet profiles, pilih New profile click Add

4. Enter Name: XL-GPRS

5. to Connect using, and Add New account

6. Select Account type: GPRS data

7. Enter Name of New account : WAP on GPRS

8. Enter APN: www.xlgprs.net

9. Enter User id : xlgprs

10. Enter Password : proxl

11. Press Save . and display will back to Data Accounts

12. pilih your new profile tekan Save again for back to Internet Profiles.

13. Highlight your new profile “XL-GPRS”. Press More trus Settings.

14. Select Internet mode: HTTP

15. Select Use Proxy: Yes

16. Enter IP address: 202.152.240.050

17. Enter Port Number: 8080

18. Username : xlgprs

19. Password : proxl

20. Leave the others as default and click Save.

21. select new profile “XL-GPRS”. click More select Advanced.

22. select Change homepage and input:

Name: XL-GPRS

Address: http://wap.lifeinhand.com

hold back arrow key for back to Connectivity main menu.

23. cek XL Portal with select Internet Services in main menu.

MMS Setting

1. To main menu, to Settings

3. To Internet profiles, select New profile click Add

4. Enter Name: XL-MMS

5. to Connect using, and Add New account

6. Select Account type: GPRS data

11. Press Save . and display will back to Data Accounts

12. choose your new profile select Save again for back to Internet Profiles.

15. Enter IP address: 202.152.240.050

16. Port number : 8080

17. leave the others as default and click Save.

18. select Data accounts, to new profile, and select Edit

17. Scroll down to Advanced settings

19. select Authentication: Normal

20. Leave default for the rest of the settings

21. hold back arrow key for back to main menu

22. From main menu, select Messaging and select Settings

23. Select Picture Message

24. Scroll to Message server and type: http://mmc.xl.net.id/servlet/mms

25. Select Internet Profile: XL-MMS

Press the back arrow key to go back to Messaging to start sending and receiving MMS messages
